After a show at Dublin's Project Arts Centre on September 18, 1978, members and friends of the fledgling combo U2 get together in the Granary pub, Essex Street, to wet their whistles and celebrate the group's success in an Irish talent contest, winning them a chance to record a demo for CBS. Larry Mullen proudly displays the announcement of their victory.
